Cycling Helmet

Industrial Design  I  Engineering

In the Winter of 2014, we began a project with Huffy Bicycles to develop a set of cycling helmets. The goal was to create designs that would match their target audience’s sense of style. Since we would also be helping them with engineering, we wanted some commonality on internal components for efficiency in manufacture.

Tool helped by taking Huffy’s consumer research to build the initial range of concepts. These were honed into two comparative concepts for further development in our engineering rounds. ProE was utilized to build the complex surface design into a CAD package.

Those efforts culminated in the release of the Huffy Parkside helmet in 2016 and continue to sell today.
