Tool designers and engineers are flexible and collaborative, as such, we are able to take on initiatives that may only last several days. With Ninja, our design team supported in developing an aesthetic that connects key features of the pressure cooker into a cohesive form. At a glance, the product needed to celebrate its power and functionality to potential consumers. By linking the UI to the venting on the lid, the user’s eye is drawn to the performance of the appliance.
Working closely with the Ninja design team to hammer out some preliminary concept sketches, we determined a direction and moved into CAD modeling to refine proportions, surface details, and CMF. We provided our final design suggestions in the form of CAD packages and Keyshot renderings to help Ninja in their fast-to-production goal. The Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker was released to the public in 2018 and is now available for purchase.
